About me

I am a qualified, experienced, Accredited and Registered Counsellor/Psychotherapist and Coach, I'm known as an integrative therapist, it means I use what I feel is appropriate for my client in the moment taken from 3 main theoretical models, it’s a flexible approach which seems to suit clients well. I am also an Approved Therapist with Anxiety UK and have a special interest in anxiety.

What I offer?

I offer professional therapy to most client groups but not children and those under 18 yrs of age.

My services are offered within a dedicated private practice room in Chislehurst Kent , I have experience working in a GP Surgery on a voluntary basis and low cost private basis at a counselling agency and counsellor training college, this provided me with an ongoing supply of varied caseloads which I welcomed as it stretched my practice and encouraged me to be up to date with current methods and thinking which of course is ongoing.

I also provided bereavement counselling at a local bereavement counselling agency.

My experience

My experience has given me a wide and varied exposure to many different environments and individuals.

This has helped achieve the results that clients get from the blend of therapy and coaching I offer and feel privileged to do the work that I now do.

I have now been in a mixture of both employment and self employment in excess of thirty years. I have owned and run my own successful businesses that have given me a wide ranging view of the ups and downs of being a business owner.

Together with my relational and psychological training it gives me the unique ability of seeing things from both sides of the fence at times, as not only am I well versed in theory I have done the practical also, in the workplace running my own business, managing relationships and so on, blending this together gives a well rounded approach to my practice and to my clients in both the private and business sector.

I have volunteered at the relationship counselling organisation Relate.

I also continue to offer my coaching work with business owners and in the corporate sector for Executive Leaders and Managers which is both valuable and interesting.
